Pracownia Projektowa Chatka is an architectural studio from Northern Poland, specialising in residential and commercial projects, blending regional heritage with contemporary design.
Starting point
Pracownia Projektowa Chatka had been operating for over 20 years, but its visual identity didn’t reflect the maturity and responsibility behind its architectural work.
Previously, it leaned heavily into artistic expression. While distinctive, it lacked a strategic foundation. The brand was built primarily on visual aesthetics, without clear positioning or direction, which led to inconsistency and made it difficult to implement across digital platforms.
As a result, the identity didn’t fully support the studio’s architectural work or communicate the level of professionalism and expertise required to attract both private and commercial clients.

Challenge no.1
How to align with the studio’s architectural style, combining minimalism with personality?

Challenge no.2
How to communicate trust, professionalism, and creative expertise to attract both private and commercial clients?

How we approached it

Before designing anything, we stepped back and asked the essential questions: What kind of architecture do they truly believe in? What role do they see themselves playing in shaping their region? And how should their identity reflect both tradition and a modern perspective?
01
The architectural philosophy
We began with in-depth conversations about their values, long-term vision, and the type of projects they wanted to attract. We explored how they see their responsibility as architects - not just as designers of buildings, but as creators of liveable, thoughtful environments.
02
Looking at the wider landscape
We reviewed local and regional studios to understand how architecture firms position themselves visually and strategically. Many leaned either too corporate or too stylistically driven.
03
Translating tradition into a modern identity
The new direction balanced minimalism with character. Minimalist logo, clean typography and structured layouts - all inspired by the Northern Poland landscape - reflected professionalism and experience, while subtle hand-painted illustrations referenced regional architectural heritage.
04
Building consistency across applications
We developed a cohesive visual system that could function across digital platforms and website, printed materials, and project presentations.

What changed
The studio moved from an expressive but inconsistent identity to a clear and intentional brand system. The new direction reflects their architectural philosophy - minimal, thoughtful, and rooted in regional context - while introducing personality in a controlled way.
Instead of competing visually with their projects, the brand now supports them. It communicates experience, responsibility, and a long-term approach to architecture.

Working with The Blooming Fern was a fantastic experience. Their talent in graphic design, strategic thinking and illustration greatly contributed to the success of our new brand image. Not only they delivered exceptional results, but also did so on time. We highly value their expertise and will undoubtedly seek their services again in the future!
